Christopher Gugel, Fine Arts Specialist

Christopher Gugel is the Fine Arts Curriculum Specialist for Clay County District Schools. In this role, Chris supports all arts areas at every grade level. Prior to being the Fine Arts Specialist, Chris was one of the head band directors at Oakleaf High School. While at OHS, Chris was a part of growing the band program to include multiple concert ensembles, multiple jazz ensembles, the Golden Regiment marching band, and multiple student performances at Solo and Ensemble MPA.

Prior to his appointment at Oakleaf High School, Chris was the band director at Fort Caroline Middle School Magnet for Visual and Performing Arts in Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, FL. Christopher was the inaugural band director at Fort Caroline when they became a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School. Prior to Fort Caroline, Christopher was the instrumental music instructor for grades 5-12 at Shelby-Rising City Public Schools in Nebraska.

Chris holds degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master in Music Performance from Kansas State University.

Chastity Lee, Coordinator of School Choice and Charter Schools

Chastity Lee is the Coordinator of School Choice and Charter Schools for Clay County District Schools. As the Coordinator, Mrs. Lee supports several school choice programs. Such as Coppergate School of the Arts, Cambridge Primary, and AICE.  She also oversees Controlled Open Enrollment and the Family Empowerment Scholarship Programs and is the contact person for the charter schools.

Mrs. Lee has been in education for 23 years. She served as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal in Clay County. She also served as a Program Administrator for a Florida Department of Education discretionary project for almost 3 years. She graduated from the University of North Florida with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and continues to be a lifelong learner.
